Aug 27, 2020 Whether you use an Amazon Kindle or run the Kindle app on a computer or mobile device, it can be hard to manage all the ebooks you’ve collected and the devices you’ve connected to your account. My kindle fire says my internal storage is full and the only app i have downloaded is netflix. Technician's Assistant: How old is your Kindle Fire? I think 3 years. Technician's Assistant: What have you tried so far with your Kindle Fire? I've uninstalled some apps and programs and sent lots of photos to the cloud.

A bit later: I also tried shutting down the computer and restarting. After doing so, there was no difference with books being able to open or not, but if I removed a book from the device and redownloaded it, at least the download speed was much faster.
Then I closed the Kindle app, and now I can't open it again. It bounces a bit and then stops bouncing. No error message. Sigh.
EDIT: Oh, that's interesting. Some books are duplicated in the Kindle for Mac library. For the duplicated books, it seems like one book will open, but the other will get the error message. However, other unduplicated books also get the error message.
